A slice of play for the Slice of Life Story Challenge: Day 17.
Spending 5 hours at Kindersports Indoor Playground gave me an opportunity to watch how kids can easily make friends in a short period of time.
I brought the two kids of my friends, 5 and 11 years old, at the place while they’re doing some errands and they didn’t know anyone at the place. After 20 minutes or so, they each found a group of kids that they played with for the rest of the afternoon.
Play is a powerful way for children to get their creative minds out while mingling with other kids. During that time, they live in their own colourful world.
It’s just a great reminder for me that providing kids time to explore will play an important role in the development of their well-being.
It’s just amazing, isn’t it? They don’t even care about names, yet when it’s time to go, they have to say goodbye to “my friend.”
I wish we could stay like that forever!
Thank you!
Yes. And how things have changed as we get older. Making friends doesn’t come as easy as it used to be.
